My Most Anticipated Book Releases of 2019

How is it the 19th of December already?! This year feels like it has just completely flown by. This year I’ve hit my all time record for books I’ve read in a year and I’m so happy with that. So without further udo, read on for the books I’m most looking forward to in 2019.

The Wicked King by Holly Black
UK Release date: 8th January

I loved The Cruel Prince and have been dying to read the next instalment, I already know it’s going to kill me waiting for the final book in the trilogy

The Winter of the Witch by Katherine Arden
UK Release date: 10th January
I got books one and two last year in my December Book Box Club and now finally after a year it’s almost time for me to have book three in my hands

King of Scars by Leigh Bardugo
UK Release date: 29th January
I haven’t yet read anything by Leigh Bardugo but I have almost all of her books. I’m aiming to read Six of Crows before the end of 2018

Fierce Fragile Hearts by Sara Barnard
UK Release date: 7th February
I’ve already read the ARC of this but I LOVED it so much and cannot wait to have the finished book to add to my collection

Children of Virtue and Vengeance by Tomi Adeyemi
UK Release date: 7th March
CoBaB left me needing more and I cannot wait to read more

Song of Sorrow by Melinda Salisbury
UK Release date: 7th March

I am so excited for this sequel, like nothing can control my excitment. I love Melinda’s writing so much

Red Scrolls of Magic by Cassandra Clare
UK Release date: 9th April

A book dedicated to Malec… yes please. I loved the Magnus Bane Chronicles, partly because I just love Magnus, so I’mlooking forward to seeing more of Magnus and Alec

Record of a Spaceborn Few by Becky Chambers
UK Release date: 7th March
The hardback for this actually came out in July 2018 but as I have the first two in paperback, I’ve been waiting for the paperback release for this one

Collision by Victor Dixen
UK Release date: 18th April

Book two of this trilogy ended on a cliffhanger so I’m very much looking forward to getting my hands on the third book

Ghosts of the Shadow Market by Cassandra Clare
UK Release date: 6th June
I’ve already read 6 of the 8 individual e-books, but it’s Jem Carstairs, of course I need the physical book in my life

The Christmasaurus and the Winter Witch by Tom Fletcher
UK Release date: October TBC

The first book is absolutely magical, I was so happy to get an email from Waterstones last week announcing a second book

Chain of Gold by Cassandra Clare
UK Release date: 19th November

Cassie Clare is just rolling them out next year, and I must say, I do not hate it
